Midlife Makeover Minisode M celebrates Thanksgiving and my birthday this week

Wendy Valentine: Hey there, beautiful. Happy Thanksgiving week and a big warm welcome back to another Midlife Makeover Minisode M. I’m your host, Wendy Valentine, and this week is extra special. Not only is it Thanksgiving in the US but it’s also my birthday week. Yeah, turn in the big five two on, 11-27-52. Oh, my gosh. Where did the time go? To help me celebrate my three awesome kids, Alex, Nick and Nolan are flying all the way from the US to join me here on the island of Madeira, Portugal. Hopefully we can find some turkey on the island, but if not, we’ll just have to be the turkeys. We are going to have so much fun this week. I cannot wait. With another year around the sun, I’m feeling extra grateful not only for my family, but also for you, my amazing listeners, for joining me on this journey. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Thanksgiving and my birthday are both big reminders of how far I’ve come since I started stepping into the new me. The new Wendy. Seven years ago, I was nowhere near the windy you hear today. I was lost, depressed, and I felt stuck in a cycle of fear. It was awful. But today, I get to celebrate my birthday as a woman who reinvented herself, who said yes to change, and who is living a, life she loves. And you, my dear, are a huge part of that journey. Thank you so much for tuning in and for being part of this incredible community.

This Thanksgiving, I celebrate turning 52 with a special gift for you

Make sure you stick around because at the end of this episode, I’m sharing a gift with you. Yes, it’s my birthday, but I want to give you a gift. It’s a free guide called the new you Blueprint and a bonus meditation to help you solidify the woman you are becoming. Trust me, you don’t want to miss this. So as I reflect on turning 52, I can’t help but think about the journey that led me here. At 45, I was broken, frightened, barely holding my together. I was broke, divorced, unhealthy, miserable, confused, lost. You name it. Wah, wah, wah. But I had this crazy dream to buy an RV and find freedom on the open road. At the time, it felt impossible, like a far off fantasy. Because the Wendy of that time was not brave or bold. She was stuck. But I realized something important. To live that dream, I had to become someone new. I had to start acting like the Wendy who who could achieve those dreams. I decided to act as if. I asked myself, how does the new Wendy live? What does she believe about herself? And even though I didn’t feel like her yet, I Started showing up as her every single day. Little by little, I became the woman I dreamed of being. This idea of acting as if, of stepping into the shoes of your future self is so transformative. You don’t wait until you’re ready or until life changes. You start living like the new woman today. And here’s the beautiful ripple effect of all this. By changing myself, I change the experience for my kids, too. They get to see a mom who’s happy, healthy, and living a life she’s proud of. It’s not just about me. It’s about the people I love. When we transform, the people around us feel it, too. My kids get to experience a mom who’s living her truth, who has stepped into her power. And that, my dear, is the power of choosing to reinvent yourself. This Thanksgiving, I’m so thankful for the journey that brought me here and for the chance to share it with you. Wherever you are in your life, I want you to know that change is always, always possible. If you are still breathing, and I think you are because you’re listening, you have the opportunity to grow, to heal, and to become whoever you want to be. There is so much power in that, and it’s something to be truly grateful for.

Start living like the future version of yourself today

So let’s take it back to you. What would happen if you started living like the future version of yourself today? The version of you who has clarity, confidence, and purpose. The version of you who’s thriving and not just surviving. You don’t have to wait for permission or the perfect time. You can literally start right now in this very moment and step into your future self and let that future self guide you. Okay, I want to give you a few tips to help you get started on your new you journey. Number one. Reflect with gratitude. Take a moment to appreciate how far you’ve come, even if you’re not where you want to be. Yet. Gratitude for the journey gives you the strength to keep moving forward. Number two. Define your vision. I want you to visualize who the new you is. What does she value? How does she treat herself? The clearer your vision, the easier it’ll be to step into her shoes. Number three. Start small. Begin by changing one small thing that aligns with your future self. Maybe it’s a daily affirmation, a new morning routine, or simply the way you speak to yourself. Number four. Practice acting as if each day, ask yourself, how would my future self handle this situation? And live as if you’re already her. This small shift will lead to big changes over time. Trust me. Number five. Celebrate progress, not perfection. Remember, every small step counts. Celebrate your wins, however small, and be proud of the progress you’re making. To help you on this journey, I’ve created the New YOU Blueprint. It’s a free guide designed to help you map out who you want to be and how you can start stepping into that role right now. And as a special bonus, I’m including the New YOU meditation. I believe it’s only like 12 minutes, so 12 minutes a day to create the new you. Not too bad. This meditation will guide you in embodying the future you desire, aligning your energy with the woman you’re becoming.
